Venue site surveys are a foundational building block of every meeting and event experience. Yet in many cases, conducting the site survey is not treated that way. It’s either done virtually because the meeting planner is too busy to visit in person or it’s done after the contract is signed and the meeting planner finds themselves facing additional venue-related challenges that they didn’t plan for. In either case, the lack of a proper site survey early on in the event planning process (and without bringing all the correct partners stakeholders along) creates unnecessary added stress and limit possibilities when it should be a source of inspiration!
