Brella and Production Resource Group (PRG) joined forces to produce the Evanston Youth Job Center’s 2014 annual gala at Soldier Field. Brella’s own Mark Mallchok was tasked with producing the sold-out evening event, which raised a reported quarter-million dollars from ticket sales. Proceeds will go directly to the Youth Job Center’s services and programs.
Brella and PRG have partnered on many client events in the past, and that shared history allowed us to work seamlessly to pull off this all-star gala for our client.
On a tight timeframe, we designed, shot, and produced a video highlighting Youth Job Center’s work. YJC works with over 1,000 out-of-school young adults, providing them with real guidance and work experience for today’s changing job market, through training, job placement, credentialing and certification programs. PRG brought in large-scale sound, lights, and IMAG technology. Brella shot live video footage of the featured speakers, which was then streamed concert-style onto stage screens and used for an exciting post-event recap video.
To say it went well would be epic understatement. Ann Vrdolyah, the Event Manager for Soldier Field, wrote to us, “Your entire group put on such a wonderful show for a great cause, and I hope to work with you again in the future.”
YJC’s Development Director, Kim Hoopingarner, wrote, “When we have an event to plan and manage, partnering with Brella is a no brainer. Brella does the prep work necessary for spectacular events, and are present day-of to ensure that it unfolds flawlessly.”
We’re serious about being active in our community, and it’s great fun to play with the latest video and live production technology for a worthy cause.
