For the third year in a row, Brella extended its expertise and creative flair as a sponsor for the Meeting Professionals International-Chicago Area Chapter (MPI-CAC) Annual Awards Recognition Gala. The glitzy gala took place on Monday, July 11th at the W Chicago City Center, honoring the cream of the crop in the event industry. The MPI-CAC committee gave us the tagline “Puttin’ on the Glitz,” and we crafted a roarin’ 20s, Jazz Age-themed celebration worthy of Gatsby himself.
To get everyone in the mood, our designers and content specialists created the 1920s event theme, produced a gorgeous print booklet to highlight the committee and nominees, along with glittery social media and email pre-and-post event marketing materials.
On site, the theme was further carried through. Animated digital signage helped guide guests and brand the event. To enhance the cocktail reception space, we produced a lavish video projection map that transformed the venue’s fireplace and the flat surfaces around it into an expansive visual narrative of Jazz Age party-goers in a Gatsby-esque mansion to reinforce the evening’s theme and bring it to life. And of course, to keep the stage lively, a stylish PowerPoint deck was created so even the rowdiest party goer would know who the awardees were.
To ensure the event went smoothly, our Events team provided the gala with an on-site producer, presentation specialists, and video support. “The committee raved about the materials we provided and the production overall,” says Cary Williams, Brella’s Event Department Manager and a member of MPI-CAC’s gala committee.
For those of you who want to revisit the event, our on-site video staff conducted interviews with the glamorous guests and shot footage of the night’s festivities to create the event recap video (see above).
Brella would like to congratulate the outstanding member award winners for their achievements and well-deserved recognition at this year’s gala (including one of our close clients).
We have as much fun producing events like this as attendees have going to them. If you’d like to discuss your next event with us, drop us a line, old sport. We’re a swell, savvy bunch, and we know how to party like it’s 1925.
